Call for Presentations Now Open!
How do power, policy, and social forces shape the experience of aging? The 2027 OAGE Conference, The Politics of Aging: Exploring the Politics, Systems & Inequalities Shaping Longevity in America, invites presentation submissions from undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, policymakers, community practitioners, healthcare professionals, and university faculty.
This inclusive, student-friendly conference provides a forum for sharing high-quality research, innovative programs, and diverse perspectives that explore the many dimensions of aging through this year's conference theme.
Whether you're presenting new findings, highlighting evidence-informed practice, or sparking thoughtful discussion, your contribution will help advance the field of gerontology and foster meaningful dialogue across disciplines.

Are you considering a presentation submission to the conference? This is a fantastic opportunity to share your research, connect with professionals, and gain valuable experience in the field of aging.
In addition to presenting, undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply for four prestigious OAGE student awards:
Student Awards Include:
- Jerome Kaplan Outstanding Graduate Paper
- Arnedia Smith Outstanding Undergraduate Paper
- Ray Matura Best Conference Theme Paper
- Marc Molea Student Innovation Award
Award Application Requirements:
- Papers must be led by the student author
- Submit the student paper and a faculty letter of support
- Deadline for Student Award Submissions: January 29, 2027
Awardees will receive a certificate and a cash award at the 2027 OAGE Conference.
