Victoria Steiner, PhD
Board of Trustee
Research Interests/Expertise
In general, I am interested in how individuals cope with the challenges they encounter in their lives as they age, including functional decline, chronic illnesses such as Alzheimer’s disease and stroke, and caregiving. I am currently evaluating the benefits of the Tovertafel, a novel technological device developed in the Netherlands, in providing multi-sensory games that engage older adults with dementia and increase their psychological well-being.
Teaching Interests/Expertise
I teach public health undergraduate students, graduate students in the Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Occupational Health programs, as well as Health Education doctoral students. My specific interests are teaching health and aging courses, but I also enjoy teaching worker well-being, grant writing, and implementation of public health programs.
Service/Practice Interests/Expertise
I am not a practitioner but have served on boards for various aging organizations over the years.
