I am adjunct faculty at Miami University- Scripps Gerontology Center. I am a guest speaker at several local universities in Southwestern Ohio. I usually talk about gerontology careers, aging policy, advocacy, and strategic planning. I enjoy mentoring students, and encouraging students to pursue meaningful careers in the aging field. I support a lot of internships and emerging professionals program for graduating students.
I have a Masters in Gerontology and over 30 years of experience working in the aging field. My area of passion and interest is in developing new innovative options and services to respond to Ohio’s growing and changing older adult population. I understand the value of aging research and applying that to changes needed in how we provide care. My strengths include advocacy, aging policy, and developing and implementing new programs.
