All OAGE conference registrants are invited to participate in this informal and interactive session that is designed to bring you up-to-date on aging-related research being conducted by Ohio’s research network.
Specifically, we will:
Showcase peer-reviewed (published) works that align with the aging network’s North Star objectives:
Highlight other important published and in-progress aging-related research being conducted in Ohio.
If you have a completed, ongoing, or soon-to-launch project, please complete an 8.5 x 11 “ad” (template link) for the project to be displayed at the event. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR AD TO ONE PAGE PER PROJECT; YOU MAY SUBMIT MORE THAN ONE PROJECT.
Please submit your summary/ies by Friday March 14 to (kinneyjm@miamioh.edu or djvandussen@ysu.edu). All summaries will be displayed, organized thematically into areas, including the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) objectives.
Session Plan:
10:00 - 10:15: Introduction (ODA representative)
○ The role that research plays in their priorities & goals and State Plan on Aging
○ What’s being done/what needs to be done
○ Encourage greater collaboration between ODA and researchers to further support network data-backed decisions and initiatives
○ Logistics of the morning (visit the ads, talk with each other; vote for the top 5 projects; then we will come back together)
10:30 - 11:45: Attendees review/view summaries, mingle, and network; place their “votes” for the top 5 ideas/projects
11:45 - 12:00: (OAGE representative)
○ Recognition of crowd favorites & next steps
