Welcome to the 2024 OAGE Conference Abstract Applications
April 11 & 12, 2024 | Kent State University at Stark
This year’s theme will be Designing the World for Aging. We encourage abstract submissions related to the conference theme but welcome any age-related topic for review.
Abstracts will be accepted through December 8, 2023. Click here for the abstract application.
Abstract Submissions
Abstracts may be submitted in four types of formats 1) Poster Presentations; 2) Oral Paper Presentations; 3) Workshop Presentations; 4) Symposium Presentations. Accepted abstracts will be presented in one of the formats listed above. Presenters may submit multiple abstracts and may elect to have their submission(s) considered for an alternate presentation format if their original format preference is not approved.
Presentation Formats
Poster Presentations consist of visually informative displays that summarize completed work, such as a research study or proposed program. Presenters are required to be at their poster board during the designated session to facilitate one-on-one interaction. Presenters will be assigned a number and should be prepared to hang their poster within a 36 inch x 48 inch space.
Oral (Paper) Sessions consist of 3 to 4 approved presentations that have a similar theme and are assigned by the abstract reviewers. Each presenter will have approximately 15 minutes and time for questions during a 75-minute session. A moderator will assist with time keeping and facilitate discussion among participants.
Workshop Sessions highlight best practices using an interactive format and will take place during a 75-minute session. A description of demonstrated or effective strategies and programs are encouraged.
Symposium Sessions consist of 3 to 4 presentations that reflect a central theme during a 75- minute session. Symposium proposals should indicate the selected theme and the overall abstract should provide a summary of each proposed presentation.
Conference Abstracts are encouraged to reflect the theme of the conference.
