Dr. Ejaz’s research has led to improved services for older adults, advanced knowledge
about the aging process, and the expansion of research in the field of aging.
Dr. Ejaz is a Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Research and Education of the Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging in Cleveland. Dr. Ejaz’s active and productive program of applied gerontological research focuses on quality of care and life in residential care facilities and community-based settings from the perspective of residents, families, and the staff who care for them. Her research has led to improved services for older adults, advanced knowledge about the aging process, and the expansion of research in the field of aging. LifeBIO is one of her research projects that seek to create personal life histories of nursing home residents so that staff can provide them with better person-centered care and enhance the quality of life and engagement of nursing home residents. Dr. Ejaz’s current research focuses on developing and evaluating programs and interventions to prevent elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
