Dr. Jessica Krok-Schoen
Assistant Professor of Medical Dietetics and Health Sciences at the Ohio State University’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
Dr. Krok-Schoen has used educational programs to improve services to older Ohioans and advanced gerontological education and training for students and practitioners. Dr. Krok-Schoen teaches and provides excellent mentorship to students, which was recognized with the 2021 OSU award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring. She works with students on cancer prevention and survivorship to benefit practitioners and older adults in Ohio. Dr. Krok-Schoen engaged OSU students to collaborate with the Worthington Christian Village to create an intergenerational program named Get WISE (Wellness through Intergenerational Social Engagement). The program won an OSU Community Engagement Award in 2020.
